This year’s theme challenges participants to confront the escalating environmental and smog crisis that continues to choke Pakistan’s major cities. Smog has become more than a seasonal inconvenience—it is now a symbol of unchecked urbanization, industrial negligence, and the collective disregard for sustainable living. Through the lens of art, design, photography, and film, participants are encouraged to interpret this crisis not only as an environmental issue but also as a social and human concern. The competition seeks to inspire works that question our daily choices, highlight the invisible costs of pollution, and reimagine cleaner, breathable futures for our cities. Artists and designers are urged to merge creativity with advocacy—to make the unseen visible, and to transform awareness into action through visual storytelling.
